Welcome to my Rent to Buy Guide website,
My guide is based entirely on my own experience of wanting to buy the house of an elderly friend to stop the Local Authority taking it away from her in care expenses. I had no money for a mortgage deposit so feared she would loose the house. I had discovered that Rent to Buy in the States was quite common, but in the U.K. ?
Us British are not usually given accepting more “imaginative” schemes for getting what we want, less still getting ideas accepted by “the establishment”, in this case property developers and estate agents. But I did it, and now I’m going to show you how to do it too.
Don’t think that in this “credit crunch” you cannot own your own home as you cannot afford the ever increasing deposit demands of the banks and building societies as they try to protect themselves.
First time buyers
What my guide will enable you to do,
- Buy a property with little or no money down.
- Get on the property ladder.
- Use what would have been ‘dead’ money in a more positive way.
- Accrue capital growth.
- A smaller more manageable mortgage.
- Part or all legal fees paid.
What about the property developers?
My scheme works for you too. It’s win/win for everyone involved.
For example I know of developers who buy property that have been repossessed by the lenders, do it up for a few thousand and then sell it on for the true market value. Usually these are properties that have no mortgage attached to them.

It is a common sense approach on how to enter into a partnership that is beneficial to both parties in the current economical climate. This process is also beneficial to people who have elderly relatives, who like my friend are afraid of losing their beloved home because living alone is no longer an option.
I hope you are able to do as I have done. It is scary to start with. However, if you do not ask you will not get.
